I guess amphibious cars started to be a 'thing' around 1954-55 and ran into the 1960's sometime.
- Or, maybe that's when I noticed them. I always thought they were pretty cool, but never could afford one back then...my first car in 1966 was a 1957 Pontiac I bought for $200.
If I had HAD that kind of money back then, it probably would have given the proof to the expression "bad choices make for good stories" since I imagine they were maintenance-intensive.
- Well, what can I say? A little red convertible that swims just oozes cool.
This is another of those 'look but don't own'...
