Today is the day for GOP members of the House to choose
which side of the Republican Party they want to stand with. The lines are drawn
between Conservatives who are demanding strong Republican leadership in the
House, and Establishment members who are willing to take part in the merger of
the Democrat and Republican parties. The vote for House Speaker has turned into
much more than just another routine matter, it will decide the direction the
Republican Party will take, and more important, the direction the country will
