Apparently, there are a lot of people who are confused about the status of “the Death of Klinghoffer,” the anti-Semitic faux opera scheduled to be staged by NYC’s Metropolitan Opera in October. The confusion arises in the wake of the Mets’ recent announcement that they have cancelled the simulcast of “Klinghoffer” originally slated for hundreds of theatres worldwide. The reason the Met gave for their decision (get this) was they didn’t want to spread anti-Semitism worldwide (I kid you not). Those who keeps tabs on the American Jewish scene will not be surprised to find the deal that was cut is just another Jewish sell-out handcrafted by Abe Foxman of the hyper-liberal ADL.
To be clear, as of this moment, the Met is moving full steam ahead with the live performances this Fall. But thousands of proud Jews are also mobilizing to stop them.
