By 2008 the USA as we knew it, and as our founders envisioned it, was already dead.
Sure the ruling wings of the uniparty changed places, but only their necktie colors [read: gang colors] changed...nothing else did.
- Those paying attention didn't see any substantive policy differences between outgoing Bush jr (aka Shrub) who called the Constitution "a piece of paper" and Obama who used it as toilet paper.
It was obvious back then that the US was neither a Republic nor a Democracy but theater, as the French say 'le theatre de la democratie factice.'
Since then, by every metric, America has been 'fundamentally transformed' into a bankrupt, failing, and lawless nation that has been conquered by a hostile ruling elite...THEY.
