Now comes Win11 update KB5036980 introducing 'start menu' advertisements.
Now I need to look for a Windows replacement before being forced to use Win11.

my win 10 computers don't qualify for upgrade to 11, i'm fine with that, but if i have to i'll go back mint cinnamon
Linux
Download linux mint. Install it on a thumb drive and give it a try. You can test drive it without harming your microcrap os.
Linux is my next stop. I haven't decided what version ... but most of the interfaces look like Windows or Mac.
I may just purchase a system from System76, even though they seem a bit pricey.
My current PC is old, so it only runs Windows 10, but it is old enough that its starting to bother me for a couple of reasons I won't go into here...
I keep Win7 as an orphan to run programs that are installed. I use Ubuntu for anything online.
