Inflation: Never on a Tuesday.................from Rico

Right before your very eyes, presto-chango, 15-cents can be turned into one dollar! Watch...
- Shazam!

This is the "magic" of inflation aka debauching the currency, brought to you by the Federal Reserve 'Bank' and explained in hamburgers by those two other famously financially irresponsible authorities Maynard J. Keynes and J. Wellington Wimpy:
- Keynes: "By a continuing process of inflation, governments can confiscate, secretly and unobserved, an important part of the wealth of their citizens."
- Wimpy: "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today."
- Me: "Funny how neither the FED, Maynard, nor Wimpy are anywhere to be found on a Tuesday..."
- Hamburgers: A hamburger cost .15 cents in 1955, .20 in 1970, .21 in 1971, .30 in 1975, .37 in 1978, .40 in 1980, .45 in 1982, .50 in 1985, .54 in 1986, .62 in 1987, .75 in 1990, .83 in 1994, .85 in 1995, .89 in 2000, 1.00 in 2012, and 1.09 in 2018...the 'continuing process of inflation' was so gradual you never even noticed. Voila! 15 cents has turned into $1.00 right under your noses, and right before your very eyes. Shazam!

In other news: Nancee "crumbs" Pelosi was unavailable for comment, reportedly being 'busy' drinking Pina Colada's in Hawaii during the dreaded 'government shut down' that nobody has yet noticed.
