Looking at this map of the richest politician by state in the US in 2017 begs a question or two.
- Interestingly, ALL of them are members of Congress.
But, the question is NOT about politicians being rich, or about which wing of the "establishment" Uniparty they belong to (D or R), as much as it is about who became rich after being elected to Congress?
- Now THAT'S a map we'd all really like to see.
As Harry "give 'em Hell" Truman* used to say:
"You can't get rich in politics unless you're a crook."
*He said of this sobriquet:
"I don't give them Hell, I just tell the truth and they think it's Hell."
