USA's Israel Embassy: Am I Getting Ahead of Myself?.....................from Dan Friedman

[I’m one of the few who I know of who’s following this developing story and bringing it to attention via emails and Facebook. As usual, many people pooh pooh the significance of this development – mostly overconfident Israelis and credulous Trump fans. But as a observer of the scene going back many years, I’m staying on top of this to see if it becomes the “new obstacle to peace,” let alone a snag to moving our embassy to Jerusalem.
So here’s a tantalizing question only you true insiders will understand. Who will blink first, Trump or Netanyahu, or both of them together? The answer will tell us who is really keeping the deadly “peace process” alive. df]

1. Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat threatened (or predicted?) Arab violence if the US relocates its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Here’s Erekat dog whistling after saying he’d resign and the PLO would revoke its recognition of Israel. Draw your own conclusion:

"Furthermore, said Erekat, all American embassies in the Arab world would be forced to close — not necessarily because Arab leaderships would want to close them, but because the infuriated public in the Arab world would not “allow” for the embassies to continue to operate."
