This is an interesting idea, and could be useful at the fish camp or the hunting camp, plus being practical AND a great conversation piece.

 

If porcelain can withstand my 3-chili pepper "chili" than I guess a wood fire would be pretty tame stuff for it.

- And I can 'see' how the melted ice could drain from the tank, BUT cleaning the ashes from the bowl might be problematic....unless the thing was placed over a pre-dug pit to make getting rid of the ashes easy.

 

Hmmmmmm...this could really 'work.'
