[This story gets it backwards. It’s really about Cameron’s plans to combat extremism and not the Muslim reaction, which is knee-jerk and entirely predictable. Still, Britain's Cameron sometimes surprises. One of the very few Western leaders willing to utter the name of the problem ("Islamist extremists") and try do something about it. But Cameron's real test is just beginning. We'll see if he has the grit to hold his ground even as the extremists he's talking about try to beat him into submission with a campaign of Islamic hysteria aided and abetted by Islam’s allies in the British press. df]
