You will soon need a passport for domestic flights. Homeland Security says, to comply with the Real ID Act, starting in 2016 RESIDENTS of New York, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Minnesota, and New Hampshire will need a passport to board an airplane....even for domestic flights. Let's see now. You need a Passport or a 'Real ID' to travel inside the US, but zero ID to vote. Got it, Herr Kommisar!- "Fatherland" (was Nazi), "Motherland" (was Soviet), but "Homeland" for the USA is different? "Your papers, please." means exactly the same thing in German, Russian, or American.
