Windows 10 is am imprvment?.................from Rico

Microsoft has an interesting business model.
- With each and every iteration of their Windows, its utility and functionality to the user is decreased/degraded.

Windows XP was perfectly fine, but they stopped 'supporting' it.

Windows 7 does a few things differently, and less well, but that's as close as I can get to XP these days.

Windows 8? What an unmitigated disaster that was. It was so useless I erased it from my OS and installed Windows 7 over it.

Windows 10 has improved features that 'capture and share' essentially everything you say or do to third parties (anyone who pays Msft for it like advertisers, plus the USG which gets it all for free). Consider W10 "Big Brother" realized....all under the pretense of improving your experience.
- Like the experience this guy (attached) just had.

Wonderful, just wonderful

This is nonsense. Microsoft's licensing agreement promises to NOT sell your data. Google sells your data. MS doesn't. They do track the data to feed your digital assistant, Cortana, but they will not sell it.

Stop making stuff up and read the agreement.

With Steve on that. Also, I've installed it on two laptops and zero problems so far. Granted, despite these being gaming laptops I'm not gaming on them, and I'm not doing anything super intensive like CAD/CAM yet, but still it's working great. Speaking of gaming, Win 10's interoperability with the XBox is pretty nifty, and looking at Gamescom, it's just going to get more impressive.
