Today could be interesting...
[Thursday 8-20] the Dow shed 358 points, bringing it down to about 21% so far this year.
[Friday 8-21] the Dow lost another 530 points, bringing it down to about 26% ytd.
Down 888 points in two days, and the PPT had no visible effect in the markets.
- This can happen when centrally-managed and centrally-planned markets spin out of the control of the Central Bank.
The proverbial looks to have hit the fan (and whatever hits the fan is never equally distributed, no matter what Barry & Co would have you believe).
- And, in this case, the FTV advice to BTFD seems more like telling the Muppets to try and catch a falling knife. A very sharp one.
Monday (and Tuesday) next could be interesting.
- Note that I said interesting, and not good.
