I have a very good friend who has been working hard for Republican causes and candidates for years, giving generously and unselfishly of her time, money, and talents. She and I agree on nearly every issue, and our disagreements have been more on style rather than substance. Not long ago this friend took exception to my criticism of “Establishment Republicans”, not because she thought my criticisms were off-base, but because she considered herself a member of the “Establishment” despite the fact that she disagreed with everything being done by the people I was talking about.
