[I wish I could say this gives me some hope that Israel will take independent action against Iran. But after watching Israel and Bibi for many years, I am still quite skeptical. Judging by past performance, the more likely scenario is that Israel will use Iran's nuclear weapons as an "opportunity" to reap the profits from its high-tech defense industry. For the oligarchy that actually runs the country, creating more and more sophisticated, and expensive, defensive countermeasures is preferable to the price to be paid for direct action. df]
