How serious ARE things?................from Rico

An even better question might be 'how much more serious are things going to get?'

With governments essentially captured by their financial systems, you can be certain that their death throes will get increasingly violent.

"To quote Margaret Thatcher, socialism is all very well until other people's money runs out. Other people's money has run out. Expect trouble ahead."            - Lord Monckton

The last time this happened was 06 Jan 2014. Gold was intentionally crashed by $30 using an HFT algo to manipulate the market and 'reset' the price of Gold lower. It 'worked' and a timely 16-18 months after the fact the COMEX admitted the illegal shenanigans in reprtage that was buried in the fine print before the 'story' was killed.

With no reason, news, or catalyst (and contrary to the law of 'supply and demand') precious metals were 'flushed' last night at 21:30 EST Sunday coincidentally just as Chinese markets opened. "Someone" [read: BIS, the central banker to all central bankers] intentionally wiped-out the bid stack for Gold and Silver futures with a directed HFT "hit" to force all sell stops.
- Gold saw the biggest 'flash crash' in two years, the price dropping in nanoseconds to 2009 lows (~$1,086) about 4.2% or $50/oz. That's a LOT of paper, and a blatantly obvious naked short.

I'm certain it is a complete 'coincidence' that US Treasuries (10-yr bonds) are taking a HUGE dump, just as it is that several financial geniuses (including martin Armstrong) are calling October 2015 as an inflexion/turning point for many governments whose financial systems will begin to 'crash' in earnest, possibly starting with Japan and taking some time before the ripples of global governmental-financial failures 'crash' the US system.

But if one wanted proof positive of the wheels coming off the wagon, the words of Barackus Marxismus Blovius that "there will be no global crisis."
- Well, if the man who never tells the truth about anything SAYS so......
