Today is the 71st anniversary of the Allied
invasion of France, known as D-Day. On that day in history 5,000 ships, 11,000
airplanes, and 150,000 soldiers stormed the beach at Normandy to free Europe
from the tyranny of Adolf Hitler and his Nazi Party. Nearly 4,000 Allied troops
gave their lives that day, and many more were wounded. The bravery and
self-sacrifice of those men has never been equaled in modern history.
Why then, do we, the children and grandchildren of those
soldiers sit idle as our own country faces a similar fate? (continue reading)
