Very few Americans remember the 'sitzkrieg' aka 'the phony war' from 1939-40 which was notable for a lack of anything save for playing cards and sitting upon one's ass.

- This segues neatly into some other PHONY WARS:

 

THE WAR ON POVERTY*

Almost nobody even bothers to think about LBJ's 'war on poverty' which is still being waged at a cost of billions yearly, is still not 'won' and is a classic example of a phony war. It is notable for creating the terms 'welfare Cadillac' and EBT and 'white privilege' while avoiding ANY reference to black privilege.

 

THE WAR ON TERRORISM

The ultimate PHONY WAR has to be 'the war on terrorism.' It too is still being waged at unfathomable cost, is not meant to ever be 'won' (much like the war on poverty was never meant to be won). It is mainly notable for being more fictional than L. Ron Hubbard's "Dianetics."

 

THE WAR ON YOU.

This one, in contrast, is very REAL. The taxpayer money that has been wasted on these boondoggles aka wealth transfers (from your pocket to the 'connected' pockets) could have been used for something actually useful, but making Joe Sixpack's life better was never the goal or purpose.

- Look at the "odds" of terrorism reaching out and touching you, then compare that with your chances of choking on your own food or being struck by lightning, and figure out the scam for yourself.

 

Americans should be much more afraid of a government that is eager and willing to lie so brazenly to them than of the ISIS boogeyman that their government has itself created.

- For Obamunists and other less-than-gifted thinkers the name of the game is FOOL and RULE, and so far it has been working pretty well........
