The US has substituted fantasy for reality.- The 'official' metrics are all phoney now. Just as, near the end, Rome had "phantom legions" so today the US has "legions of phantoms."- Phantom recovery, phantom democracy, phantom GDP, phantom unemployment (for one example, the 'real' U rate is between 20% and 40% depending upon which numbers you use, and NOT the fake 5.6% claimed).
