T. Friedman Throws in the Towel? Wanna Bet?................from Dan Friedman

[Thomas Friedman, who has forged a brilliant career by getting it wrong on Israel, the Jews, Arabs and the Middle East, seems to have grown tired of being slapped in the face by history in full view of the public. So now St. Thomas is attempting to put distance between his dismal track record and reality, apparently admitting his Arabian dreams have turned into a nightmare for him and will never be realized.
But don't confuse this turnabout with anything heartfelt, or anything permanent. It’s simply a tactical retreat. A career-preservation move by a petulant pundit who will never get over the bitterness he has for a Jewish state which shunned his precious advice and his hysterical predictions - and is much better off a result.

Yet, on the inside Friedman's bile is still aboil. And as soon as Friedman feels the sand shifting or senses another opportunity to slander Israel, the old Thomas Friedman will be back with a vengeance. And he’ll be wrong again. df]
