Beinart, Friedman & Goldberg: Three Stray Dogies..................from Dan Friedman

Here’s one take by a religious Israeli and longtime observer, Yisrael Medad, on the moribund Peter Beinart anti-Zionist phenomenon. I urge you to read it. I think Medad is on the money, but I also think there’s another way of looking at the same thing, and this how I would sum it up:

Let’s give Beinart a little credit. As a rogue Jew living in America he knows Israel is parting ways with the liberal/left ethos of his fellow travelers over here. In other words, Beinart (Goldberg, Friedman and others too) realizes Israel is forever lost to him and his ideological comrades. What’s more, he knows Israel will never return to validate his perverse, dimwitted “solutions.”

Over the last twenty years, or longer, every bit of flak they've thrown up has landed harmlessly or blown up in their face. In fact, Israel has only grown stronger, and in the opposite direction. So Beinart’s call for USA Jews to talk to themselves and leave Israel out of the conversation makes perfect sense from a loser’s perspective. But this is an admission of defeat and should be applauded by true Jews and real Zionists. It is also the closest thing to a white flag we'll ever see from these ersatz Jewish "intellectuals." Enjoy it, because from here on everything they say or do will be a feverish attempt at self-preservation by a species destined for extinction. Try as they might, conceits fabricated in their brainstorming sessions will never change Israel, or their fate.

Chazak!
