New Obama Metaphor.................from Dan Friedman

The Tornado.

Watching Obama from the beginning has been like watching a tornado forming on a Kansas plain in August. At first, it is small and way off in the distance. Hardly anything to worry about. Then it begins to take on its typical cone shape but still at a safe distance. From that point on the fully-formed whirlwind begins its erratic hopscotch over the landscape. A few people notice and stop what they're doing.

Now the wind picks up, the ground starts to shake and the skies darken as the growing menace starts heading toward us. Finally the beast is looming and unleashes its full destructive power and fury. Some are never seen again, never knowing what hit them.

After that the thing passes, leaving behind an eerie silence and utter devastation. The only people who survive are the ones who heeded yesterday's weather forecast. And their job is to assess the damage and pick up the passes.
