Race relations in America have
gotten worse since Barack Obama took office, according to 53 percent of the
respondents in a recent Bloomberg
Politics Poll, and frankly I am surprised the number is that low. The
election of America’s first black President was something that should have
illustrated the vast improvements we have seen in race relations over the past
50 years rather than initiating the beginning of a downward spiral. In choosing
Barack Obama to be America’s first black President, his supporters forgot Dr.
King’s dream of “a day when people will not be judged by the color of their
skin, but by the content of their character.” (continue reading)
