The last week of every year is
the time you see the “Top 10” lists of news stories, movies, trendy words, and
so forth. I have spent a lot of time watching or reading news stories, so the
annual lists of news worthy events usually catch my attention, and this year is
no exception. The lists I have seen contain most of the expected stories with a
few variations depending on the author, but one of the biggest stories of 2014
has been overlooked – this was the year Democrats finally acknowledged that
