There’s a familiar old saying – “When
Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy”. Applying that sentiment to Washington we
have “When the voters ain’t happy, -- meh, Washington doesn’t really care”. How
can it be that a recent Rasmussen poll shows Congressional
approval ratings in the single digits, yet in the most recent election the
vast majority of incumbents were reelected? The answer to that question might
be found in the first paragraph of Rasmussen’s report:
