Obama’s Ferguson Strategy: Success or Failure?

When Officer Darren Wilson was forced to pull the trigger on his service weapon killing Michael Brown, he had no way of knowing that he had just ignited a firestorm that would spread across the country. Although protests and riots remained in the headlines even through the Thanksgiving holiday, the furor surrounding the grand jury decision seems to be subsiding despite the best efforts of some in the news media. The question then is whether this indicates success of the Obama administration’s Ferguson policy, or failure.          (continue reading)
