Ebola and a Crisis of Confidence


Shortly after news broke that Thomas Duncan had succumbed to the Ebola virus, we learned of another possible case in the Dallas area related to Duncan, as well as new reports of sick airline passengers around the country. With each new development unease over the situation grows, and every attempt by the Obama administration to convince Americans that they are handling it is countered by evidence that they are not. Properly handled, this situation should be no cause for alarm, but the magic phrase is “properly handled”, and so far we have seen little evidence to give us confidence that the Obama administration is capable of properly handling anything.  (continue reading)
