Politician's love to ask voters (when it's a campaign year, and only when it's to their advantage) "are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?"

Why do the voters never seem to ask that very same question of politicians?
- Or of that wealth-destroying creature politicians foisted upon the voters in 1913 (in secret, of course) the FED?

Take a look at this menu from 1972, and this gasoline price from the 1990's.
- THEN ask who is responsible for reducing the purchasing power of the 1913 dollar into mere pennies today in 2014?
