When robot army fights robot army, the winner of that fight will likely claim the surrender of his human opponents on the grounds that the humans are inherently weaker which was why they weren't on the battlefield in the first place.
I would think it would be demoralizing to go to a battle, either low-tech on the ground or high tech in the air, knowing that you are facing no live enemy.
