The Red Death...............................from Rico

Like many, I have been 'watching' the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.

- The recent 'scare' at London's Gatwick, and now the NYC case where a hospital is 'testing' a traveler for Ebola are cases in point. Where it was almost immediately determined that the death in London was NOT Ebola, well....they are 'testing' in NYC and not saying anything else. Neither confirm nor deny. Hmmmmm.....


This is all very mindful of Edgar Allen Poe's story "The Masque of the Red Death" from almost 150 years ago, wherein a plague (the Red Death, so named because it caused death by bleeding from the pores) had quickly killed half a country's population.

- What the "powers that be" did to try and resolve the problem is more instructional than anything one can get from the parrot-media of today.
