Prime Minister says 'operation will continue until the firing at our communities stops and quiet is restored.'

That is not a trick question. The way Israel's politicians operate, they don't react until after the damage is done - and the greater the tragedy the greater the scale of the retort.
Yet, Bibi still seems wedded to the old "quiet for quiet" strategy that brought Israel to this point in the first place. He says they're trying to rebuild Israel’s "deterrence." But on a strategic level, Israel is simply giving the enemy control. Hamas & Co. gets to decide when enough is enough – even when the IDF has them on the ropes! Hopefully, the Israeli defense establishment has finally learned its lesson and will deliver a crushing blow to the terrorist infrastructure in Gaza – one which they cannot readily recover from. After reading the story above, though, I’m not so sure.
Maybe when Iran brandishes its H-Bomb, the Israeli people will finally demand an unequivocal response. But by then it will probably be too late. df]
