[Iraq is imploding and when the dust settles it will become a failed state run by various factions of Islamic terrorist organizations trying to knock each other off. This one is a tough one for me because I questioned Bush’s call going in, and I thought Obama’s “exit strategy” was likewise doomed to failure. Even more sobering is that Iraq is a sign of things to come in Afghanistan, only the Taliban will win an uncontested battle. As much as I’d like to, I honestly can’t shift the blame to Obama. These wars are a costly blunder for which both parties and their leaders share responsibility. And who knows what lessons may have been learned in D.C., if any? df]
Iraqi PM calls state of emergency as Islamic State of Iraq and Levant rout security forces in Mosul; could have far-reaching implications.
