Obama's Jewish Riddle...................................from Rico

“If I am not for myself, then who will be for me? And if I am only for myself, then what am I? And if not now, when?”

[I think it’s a mistake to characterize Obama as someone whose thinking has not been influenced by Jews. In fact, while a citizen of Chicago Obama was receptive to Jewish views coming from radical Reform rabbis and leftwing laity alike. When you hear this president quoting (selectively) the great Rabbi Hillel from the Talmud, it’s a sign Obama learned his lessons well. In the Reform sect, Hillel plays the role of Good Rabbi to Shimai’s role of Bad Rabbi - the former being portrayed as more lenient than the latter. But both men are Jewish giants who would’ve rejected “Reformism” (and Obama) outright. Today, no one on the Jewish left could shine their shoes. df]
