The Aussies are not known for subtlety which, in this age of spin, is a good thing.
From this morning's press conference on the apron at the RAAF air base for the search SW of Australia:
RAAF Air Vice Marshall Binkin: "We are not looking for a needle in a haystack, we are looking for the haystack."
He was preceded by the Australian Defence Minister, a giant of a man, just the sort of guy you want with that portfolio.
