[Faced with a tide of African “infiltrators” infiltrating into Israel by way of the Sinai, the Israeli government has been uncharacteristically direct and decisive while trying to solve this thorny problem in a humane way. Confronted with Israel’s new strategy, including monetary incentives and beefed up security at the Egyptian border, many of these illegals are now leaving Israel voluntarily. And most surprising, there has been little Israel-bashing by the usual suspects in the media and on the left, and no resolutions from the UN either. The lessons learned from this success can, and should, be applied to the Arabs occupying Jewish land in Judea and Samaria. As Jabotinsky stated around the beginning of the last century, once the “Palestinians” (a word he never used) are convinced the Jews are in Israel to stay and aren’t going anywhere, the Arabs residing there will become a different people. More docile and much less aggressive about their illegitimate claims to Jewish patrimony. But first Israel has some convincing to do. The first step is to make a small amendment to its foundational documents - and its school books – that tells the world who’s boss in the Jewish state and why it exists. Here’s my suggestion: Israel, of the Jews, for the Jews, by the Jews. Then Israelis will have to live like they mean it. After that, and only after that, might there emerge a semblance of peace between Israel and its Arab neighbors. df]

"Number of infiltrators leaving Israel is five times more than in the past," says Interior Minister Gideon Sa'ar • Upward trend began in December, after Knesset passed revised version of infiltration law.
