Stand Up Nation?............................from Dan Friedman

When Israel’s leftist cadres get desperate they inevitably fall back on Hobson's Choice. It’s the kind of sales pitch Henry Ford used to sell his Model T: “chose any color, as long as it’s black.” Why some segments of the Israeli public still fall for this ploy escapes me. After decades of being told imminent catastrophes are just over the horizon if Israel didn’t do X, Y or Z, not only have the catastrophes never materialized, Israel has become stronger and more prosperous by ignoring the phony ultimatums. And speaking of desperation, as well as obsession, even John Kerry is piling on – predicting great calamities if the Jews don’t capitulate to their sworn enemies.

Here’s Caroline Glick’s superb column, Trying to Scare Us

Here’s a news item about Kerry’s ultimatum, John Kerry Threatens Israel With Boycotts if Talks Fail

Here’s a discouraging thought from me: Someone with official standing in Israel needs to articulate a new set of principles. You are either with us or against us and the choice you make will have consequences for you. As the great Jabotinsky was not afraid to tell the Nations, “we were here before you and we’ll be here after you leave.” Maybe that was what Ya’alon was trying to get across to Kerry two weeks ago. But time is getting short, the Nations’ trap is closing around Israel, and Netanyahu and everyone else in his orbit are beginning to smell like rotten cheese.

Watch this space. If Israel and Israelis stay asleep, things are only going to get worse. To put it bluntly, it’s already happened once in our lifetime and maybe the sky will fall again.

Henry Ford never said, "Choose any color as long as it is black"> He didnt say anything remotely close.

The Model Ts came in colors in early production and again in later Model T production.
