Keeping the lid on things.......................from Rico

The US markets crumbled early in the day's trading, and the Precious Metals (Gold and Silver) went vertical.

- Maybe it was just the nasty ADP report, maybe the Plunge Protection Team was temporarily indisposed while seeking cronuts for their coffee break. Quien sabe?


A very determined propping-up of the market was quite evident the rest of the day, accompanied by an equally determined (and obvious) price suppression action in Gold and Silver.

- Somebody got a phone call, or a series of them, and was told to "Get on this. Can't be looking like Argentina, old boy. Simply won't do at all." So the 'lid' was put firmly back into place once again. For the time being.


The day was 'saved' for the central planners, but it's best to be mindful that Friday is the NFP report and the crooks routinely like to play their games around that event.
