People generally don’t get it (but Obama does): There is a lot Israel could gain from the chaos that would follow an Israeli strike on Iran. As the strongest nation in the ME, they could turn it to their advantage. But that’s counterintuitive to the way Western leaders think. They like to get on their computers and see a few moves ahead. That uncertainty has got to affect Israel’s thinking – but so must the course of events taking place in “the region” and the appeasement of Iran by The White House and the “international community.” Which is to say, for the Jewish state the devil they know is not the devil they want to face at this point in Jewish history. Deal with Iran now and everything else, G-d willing, will fall into place.
Of course, that option would be much clearer to Israel if they had a mensch for a leader.

I am as strong-supporter of Israel as the next guy, but what makes you think you are privy to all the information that Bibi has to consider in his extremely complex considerations?
Bibi, as was his late brother Yoni, not a mensch?
Stop being a jerkoff, Friedman.
Bibi is a mensch, as was his brother Yoni. Whatever he is doing that you think is wrong, he has much more information than you could possibly have to guide Israel through the world-wide bias against his country.
You, Friedman, are a jerkoff for thinking you know better.
