1. People do not panic after a disaster.

- They pull together instead.

2. The 'official' government response is always speedy and appropriate.

- I'm from the government, and I'm here to help.

3. You will be taken care of if you simply comply peacefully with the authorities.

- Get on the FEMA bus, NOW!

4. There is little increase in post-disaster crime.

- We'll confiscate your legal weapons, since you will not 'need' them.

5. What difference does it make?!
