Senator John McCain spoke about Syria yesterday here at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington. His remarks are the best explanation of the American interests at stake and the best critique of the Obama administration’s handling of this crisis. Cogent, clear, serious, and humane, they deserve careful reading.
