Ignore the gorilla!....................from Rico

Having access to foreign and foreign language press and media, it has amused me for some time what stories the American MSM chooses NOT to report.

- What is 'ignored' says a quite a lot.

Here is a 'story' that is NOT being reported by the US Financial Media (not by Bloomberg, CNBC, NBC Business, MSN Money....well, you get the idea), I just checked btw:

The Polish government just reduced its debt by nationalising assets held in private pension funds (retirement accunts) without any compensation.

The government, of course, is 'spinning' this as an overhaul of pension funds, moving all private bond assets to a state fund (to be followed by private equity assets).

This will reduce public (government) debt by about 8% of GDP.

- This is what happens when politicians spend the government into financial insolvency.

But...but....but, the US is NOT Poland!

- Correcto mundo! It's WORSE!

The 800-pound gorilla that is being purposely ignored by the US MSM is this: Private assets are being taken by a government without any compensation. Reread that.

- This puts an entirey "new" dimension to being 'Corzined' or 'Cyprused' and you have to ask yourself when (not if) your government will be doing this to YOU.

I am serious. Do you really think you can trust this collection of sociopathic thieves and liars to have YOUR best interests at heart?

- Of course they do not. They will take care of #1...and #1 ain't YOU, you're not even #2!

Be wary when words like "reform" or "overhaul" or "improved" or "streamlined" start being used.

- It will be painful for YOU and not the government.
