Supraventricular Tachycardia........................how to liven up your morning!!!!!!!

I had an attack of SVT this am which is why posting will be light for a day or so. Apparently the human heart can pump at 206 beats a minute (we did hit 214 briefly). I am fixed hopefully because that wasn't fun and back home. The paramedics and emergency room staff were brilliant and I would like to thank them all.

A little rest is required so please be patient.

Here's to a complete recovery, Theo. Take all the time you need.

Are you sure it's not caused by your new very hot Benghazi Black FridayTotty day jpgs?

God bless, amigo. If I didn't have your blog as a source of subject matter for mine, I would truly be up the creek.

Seriously - take care of yourself. Very few mulligans in life.

God's speed on a quick recovery; you're one of the bright lights in a dark and dreary 'net, sir.

I strongly suggest you stop that shit, post haste!

Home remedy suggestion in case you relapse - keep a selection of John Kerry's speeches handy... his delivery should bore your heart back to 70 beats per minute...

Take care of yourself Theo.

I've had heart problems for the past 20 years. Doctor told me it might have been caused by my neglecting High Blood pressure for the prior 30 years.

I was in the hospital for a Cardiac dysrhythmia problem (irregular heartbeat) and was hit with the Tachycardia you had in the hospital. I was medicated and feeling good then I got up to go to the bathroom. Suddenly I was hit with a dizzy spell and my heart accellerated like an F-18/A on afterburner. I got back to my bed, pushed the "panic button" and the docs came a running. They slapped the electrodes of the ECG machine on me and were recording about 200 bpm, but as one cardiologist said: "You have got a perfect sinus rhythm." That made me feel better anyway. More meds. and things slowed way down.

Since then I've had an angiogram (not fun), numerous "stress tests including one Thalium stress test, and been on 1 beta blocker, 2 ACE inhibitors, Lipitor, low dose aspirin & clonazepam for anxiety.

Can't wait for ObamaCare!

Medication and Please consider having a cardio ablation , mine was with radio frequencies , where a probe in the heart creates scar tissue in the areas that are sending out bogus signals . the scar tissue does not eliminate them , masks them so that they cannot be transmitted . Hence heart returns to normal sinus rhythm . At my age ( 72 ) ... had to have it done twice . Younger person usually gets by with one procedure .

You can make it. I too have this and now I have my own ICD. Over the last 9 years I have been shocked 4 times. It's good to be alive my friend. Best wishes, Kevin.
