Compare and contrast.....................from Rico

Compare and contrast.

- One of these guys is a wimp. The other is not.

Vladimir Putin is holding, in one hand, a 400 oz Gold Bar. [For recent government-run school graduates that's 25 pounds.]

- How many can actually DO that, I wonder?

I'd bet Vegas odds that Barry LNU (Last Name Unknown) cannot. I think he's 'maxed-out' with ice cream cones and hot dogs.

- He sure has some intimidating 'cheerleader' moves, but is still punching far below his weight class.

Res Ipsa Loquitor (it speaks for itself).

Precious metals are measured in Troy ounces. There are ~ 14.58 Troy ounces/pound, not 16. A 400 oz gold bar would weigh closer to 28 pounds. (Government school indeed)

Actually, 400oz of gold is 33.33 troy pounds, or 27.43 mundane pounds....
I can certainly pick up 25 pounds (or even 27.43) of, e.g., puppy one-handed, but probably wouldn't go holding it out in front of me like that. (But then I haven't been working out by reading Russian novels.)
I notice the Tsar is careful not to leave fingerprints.

i went to private school so i know gold is measured in troy oz of which there are 12 to a pound (troy). since neither the troy oz or lb are the same weight as a avoirdupois oz and lb it can become confusing. near as i can tell it REALLY weighs 27.28lbs (avoirdupois). since it is gold it ACTUALLY weighs 33.33 lbs. (that is because if you were a king and owed someone xyz lbs of gold it's helpful to be able to set the standard of how many oz to a troy lb in a way so that you didn't have to back as much.)
