A Rule of Thumb...................from Rico

The reality is vastly worse than what we are being told.

The latest BS from the BLS gave us 'headlines' that unemployment slightly decreased from 7.5% to 7.4%.

- Not great, but improving, you might reasonably conclude...IF you believe the completely fraudulent NFP report.

The 'official' unemployment number (U-3) of 7.4% is so understated it does not look like anything remotely near the reality. Two barometers are more accurate...and truthful:

- John Williams of ShadowStats (who does not 'cook' the numbers) says actual unemployment is 23.3%.

- The Labor Force Participation Rate [chart] is currently 63.4%.

Many do not yet understand that government numbers are now heavily manipulated to look good. This is one of the meanings of CHANGE.

- As a "rule of thumb" these days it is now safe to assume that everything the government reports is a lie.
