How about "the-consumer-will-save-us?"

Well, here's the latest iteration: "the-housing-recovery-will-save-us."

- Mortgage applications fell for the 8th of the last 9 weeks at the fastest year-over-year pace in three years, slumping to two-year lows.

This is not good for home sales, or the 'extend-and-pretend' economy.
