[I’ve never bought the cover story that Ariel Sharon was forced into his Gaza withdrawal to appease prosecutors who were on his tail. Whatever Ariel Sharon was at the time he had a stroke, he certainly was not a “hardliner” or a “rightist” anymore. In fact, he was preparing to double- or triple-down on his Gaza debacle and bring Arab terrorists a stone’s throw away from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. That’s when Hashem intervened and took the bat out Sharon’s hand. df]
