Many months ago, candidate for a Senate seat from Massachussets Elizabeth (faux-cahontas) Warren* gave a campaign speech wherein she floated the "you didn't build that" meme so popular with "progressives" [read: kollectivists, Socialists, Communists] which was promptly 'spiked' as a news story by the MSM [read: Ministry of Truth in the Orwellian sense] once it was floated in the punchbowl.
I do not think Warren's speech in the People's Democratic Republic of Taxachussets was anything but a 'trial balloon' to see how the concept would 'play' and it was no coincidence that Comrade Barry has been using the "you didn't build that" crapola in his own campaign since then.
- I wouldn't be a bit surprised if that notoriously deep-thinking DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schulz encouraged fellow Comrade Barry to run FORWARD with this particular ball.
Productive ciitizens and Small Business Owners understandably have had much the same reaction as Joe the Plumber did, with the SBA putting up billboards like this one (attached).
- One can only HOPE that enough voters realize what swine the career/professional politicians have become and accordingly "throw the bums out" and give America's businessmen a chance to "fix" things.
*The MSM [read: DNC Propaganda arm] did an even better job spiking THIS one: NYC Mayor Mike "Nanny" Bloomberg went on record accusing Warren not only of being a Socialist, but intent on bringing the USSR to America. Not exactly a Jeffersonian 'the government that governs least, governs best' chap himself this must have made a few "progressive" Democrat (C) brains explode at the time!
