Barry's record to date, and his re-election efforts remind me of both the cycle-of-abuse and the battered person syndrome.

If America were to re-elect Barry, it would confirm this for me...especially the battered person syndrome.
- the abused person cannot leave the relationship due to "learned helplessness.
- the abused person thinks it's their fault.
- the abused person is unable to place responsibility for the violence elsewhere.
- the abused person has an irrational belief that the abuser is omnipresent and omniscient.
