The FED's shell game...................from Rico

The "shell game" (three shells and a pea) is a wonderful con game using sleight-of-hand.
- The 'mark' cannot win unless the game's operator wants him to, otherwise it is impossible.

The FED is using a similar sleight-of-hand to mask the huge decrease in demand for US debt (Treasurys), perpetuating the safe-haven and foreign demand myths.

By the FED's own numbers, it bought 61% of all US Treasurys sold in 2011. This is a HUGE hole in demand for US debt. Why? Because there were not enough other buyers.
- This has put the 2011 FED's holdings of Treasurys at $1.66 trillion out of a balance sheet of $2.52 trillion. I can't wait to see what the numbers will look like for end 2012!

Shell game might actually be too gentle a descriptor for what is happening.
- I think Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act (RICO) fits the situation much better.
