It's a terrible, terrible tragedy for those killed or injured. But it's especially tragic that the left-wing media almost immediately tried to blame conservatives and the tea party for the attack.
Lots of blogging on this with video. See, "ABC News Apologizes for Tea Party Blood Libel in Colorado Movie Massacre."
Plus:
* "Jessica Redfield Killed in Aurora Movie Theater Massacre — Aspiring Sportscaster Survived Toronto Shopping Mall Shooting Last Month."
* "Obama Supporters Cheer 'Four More Years' During President's Tribute to Colorado Shooting Victims."
* "Colorado Theater Shooting: Gunman Looked 'Ready to Go Into Battle'."
Again, there's too much breaking video to load here, so check the links. The suspected gunman, James Holmes, was armed with an AR-15 assault rifle, a Remington 12-gauge shotgun, and a .40-caliber Glock handgun. Authorities found another Glock in the suspect's car.

We have both President Obama's & Mitt Romney's reaction to the midnight killings at the Colorado Movie Theater...

"Assault rifle" is a term that has a specific meaning; a rifle capable of "select fire" of single-shot, burst, or full-auto. If you use the phrase "assault rifle", then you are talking about a MACHINE GUN.
An AR-15 isn't an "assault rifle"; it scarcely meets the "California Scary Gun" definition of the more nebulous term "assault weapon". An AR15 is a .223 rifle that is DESIGNED to WOUND, not kill, because a wounded soldier takes three people out of the line of battle (the casualty and two people to carry him to the aid station) while a killing round takes out only the VICTIM.
The parent company of the movie theater in Aurora had a company policy declaring their theaters "GUN FREE ZONES".
One man or woman who was armed at that theater could have saved many lives. Too bad the owners of the theater created a SLAUGHTER ZONE.
